Members of NSBE-GSC have backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). To encourage students in area middle and high schools to pursue careers in STEM fields, we serve as judges at science fairs during the school year. Our presence at these activities reminds students that their goals are attainable, mentorship is available, and networking opens the door to valuable connections.
Bring your elementary, middle, and high school students to Six Flags America on STEM Days to participate in hands-on educational activities coordinated by a variety of organizations. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Society of Black Engineers are among those who will facilitate experiments for students to conduct as well as discuss current scientific ventures and projects.
